David
sockbridge mill bed and breakfast was an absolute delight! the hosts were kind and generous, showing us their beautiful art and offering a fantastic breakfast. the building and our room were stunning, and we wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy their art books. definitely a standout during our trip through england and scotland.
One thing was missing during our stay, the breakfast options were fairly basic and not very plentiful.

Pretty nice room, large bathroom. Beautiful remote location, near to the lakes as well as Ullswater. Also, in a Valley.
-
Martin
We had an excellent 4-star experience here. The room we booked was spacious with good facilities.

George
Nestled down in the valley, just outside of a cozy village, this budget is a great location from which to explore Ullswater Lake, with plenty of great climbing and bouldering opportunities nearby. The rooms are cozy and unique with artistic features. The breakfast is healthy and filling with plenty of options to choose from.
The customer service can be lacking, with inconvenient policies like not being able to pay with card or cheque, and on occasion, customers have not been offered the use of functioning rooms when needed.

The hotel is located in a very peaceful location, perfect for a relaxing break. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable, and the breakfast is delicious and freshly made.
There were a few issues that detracted from our overall experience. Our room had some maintenance issues, including stuck windows and a live wasp nest.
